About Us
About us !
We are a large family of four birth children and three adopted children with a range of special needs, six girls and one boy. It has been an amazing journey through the years with lots of laughter and tears but also many frustrations.
On paper two of our children were identical, their diagnosis a perfect match but they couldn’t have been more different in their needs in life. It taught us a very valuable lesson about the needs and rights of the individual, a diagnosis is just the guidance, it doesn't allow for the personality!!
Our children are growing up and again with our frustrations we feel we have something to offer.
And so Heywood House has been created!!!
We always want the best for our children and we bring that with us to Heywood House and would like the opportunity to share what we may be able to offer your son or daughter.
